Job Summary: As a General Construction Technician / Construction Laborer, you’ll play a key role in preparing apartments and properties for turnover. This role includes travel to construction project sites across Wisconsin, with current projects in Shawano and Berlin. You’ll perform a variety of general labor, carpentry, and property maintenance tasks while following all safety, conduct, and quality standards outlined in the Nicolet Lumber Company Employee Handbook. Responsibilities: • Prepare apartments for turnover and meet company quality standards • Perform caulking on windows, patios, showers, trim, and exterior brick • Install handles, bumpers, attic panels, levers, deadbolts, numbers, and peepholes • Hang and adjust front doors; run venting for dryers • Operate a telehandler, forklift, and other approved equipment • Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe • Follow company travel and overnight stay policies • Complete other assigned construction duties Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) • Construction, carpentry, or property maintenance experience (preferred) • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Ability to travel across Wisconsin, including overnight stays • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work indoors or outdoors year-round in all weather conditions • A team player who takes pride in a job well done Work Environment: • Hands-on physical labor with the use of power tools • Indoor and outdoor work in all seasons • Adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies • Must comply with company conduct, travel, and overnight stay rules Benefits: • Great Pay – Starting wage based on your experience & skills • Year-Round Full-Time Work – No seasonal layoffs • Per Diem – $50/night, plus hotel accommodations when overnight travel is required • All Tools & Safety Gear Provided – You bring your skills, we’ll bring the equipment • A Supportive Crew – Family-owned culture where your work matters • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Why Our Team Stays: Because here, you’re not just a number.
