Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various concrete-related tasks. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites. The Concrete Laborer will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete projects while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Duties • Assist in the setup and preparation of concrete forms and structures. • Operate concrete mixers and other heavy equipment as needed. • Perform rebar installation and ensure proper placement for structural integrity. • Execute concrete finishing techniques to achieve desired surface quality. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including plastering, masonry, and flooring installation. • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements. • Engage in heavy lifting and material handling as required on-site. • Collaborate with team members on renovation, restoration, and hardscape projects. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Participate in training for heavy equipment operation and other specialized skills. • Working 60+ hours a week. Qualifications • Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred. • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and machinery. • Familiarity with construction estimating practices is a plus. • Experience with concrete forming, finishing, pumping, and masonry work. • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. • Knowledge of carpentry techniques including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing is advantageous. • Skills in caulking, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and welding are beneficial. • Strong physical condition with the capability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly. • A valid commercial driving license may be required depending on job assignments. • A commitment to safety standards on construction sites.
