Brick Mason Installer

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision. Responsibilities: - Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials to construct or repair walls, arches, chimneys, and other structures - Align bricks or blocks according to project requirements using plumb lines, levels, or other tools - Measure and cut bricks, blocks or other materials to fit specific dimensions using hand or power tools - Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in masonry work - Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks - Apply weatherproofing and finishing layers to masonry surfaces - Work with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and according to quality standards and specifications - Provide guidance and training to apprentices or less experienced workers Requirements: - Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials - Proficient in using power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders - Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity - Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions - Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Recommended but not required: - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans If you have the skills and experience required for this position, we invite you to apply. Skilled Trades Services is currently looking for Construction Laborers for the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and Lynn County area. Must be able to travel in between the different locations.: Must have 2 years of construction laborer work and show it on a resume. Must be hard working, show up to work everyday and on time.
