Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC grinding machines to produce parts according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers to understand project requirements. • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, roundness equipment, surface profilometer, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), etc.). • Maintain tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure optimal performance. • Collaborate with Engineering to apply and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in production process. • Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. • Ensure safe operation of machinery and adherence to safety protocols at all times. • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and optimizing the honing and machining process. Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in CNC machining and/or programming. • Proven proficiency with CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting. • Strong understanding of CNC programming (G-code and/or CAM software). • Experience with Solid Works, CAD tools, and CAM programming preferred. • Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical problem-solving skills. • Competent in performing precision measurements and calculations. • Aerospace industry experience is a plus. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
