The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, the ability to create setup sheets, and the versatility to assist in machine operations as needed. This role also involves working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient project execution and to support manufacturing processes from planning through production. In This Role You Will • CNC Programming • Develop and optimize CNC programs for precision parts, focusing on lathe operations. • Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create efficient machining strategies. • Maintain accuracy in programming for quality and adherence to specifications. • Setup and Machine Operation Support • Create detailed setup sheets and documentation to guide machine operators. • Assist with machine setup and operation during peak production times or complex jobs. • Conduct test runs to ensure accuracy and troubleshoot issues as they arise. • Project Estimation and Planning • Estimate programming times, machine times, and materials needed to complete projects efficiently. • Develop Basic work plans to align with project timelines and production demands. • Engineering Collaboration • Serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing to ensure seamless communication and alignment on technical requirements. • Assist engineering in creating models, assemblies, fixtures, and tooling needed for production. • Provide insights and feedback on part manufacturability, tooling needs, and process improvements. • Process Improvement • Analyze current machining processes to identify areas for efficiency and quality improvements. • Recommend and implement updates to programming and machining techniques as needed.
