About the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Technician - Spokane Falls Community College Our HVAC Technician performs skilled work in the inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems, and related equipment at Spokane Colleges facilities. Servicing classrooms, lab spaces, auditoriums, offices and more, the HVAC Technician is a critical and valued member of a dynamic Facilities team that serves students, staff and faculty at Spokane Community College (SCC) and Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC). Under general direction, the HVAC Technician makes repairs to system components including chillers, boilers, valves, and other items and responds to calls on heating and cooling problems to evaluate and make appropriate repairs. Duties & Responsibilities • Evaluate heating and cooling problems, make appropriate diagnosis and make repairs to faulty HVAC equipment and HVAC systems and controls. * • Install new control components including valves, actuators, and sensors, and document HVAC control modifications at completion of projects. • May need to coordinate with administrators, contractors and other trades to implement projects. * • Develop cost estimates for repairs and upgrades; purchase supplies and equipment for HVAC projects; assist in specifying HVAC equipment and controls. * • Maintain Spokane Colleges building HVAC control programs and systems.
