Responsibilities The HVAC/ Refrigeration tech is responsible for the installation and maintenance of major Hospital and Medical Campus equipment. Responds to routine and emergency work orders. Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Participates in new project installations. Completes all required documentation according to department procedures. Meets established response time for work orders and stat calls, and performs Preventative Maintenance Program within scheduled timeframe. Other duties may require light duty maintenance, light moving, and new product installation. Must have excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills and high initiative with little supervisory guidance. Must demonstrate good time management skills, and work well within a team environment. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and electrical schematics. Must be able to act independently and make judgments regarding service and repair of equipment in a safe appropriate manner. Primarily a standard work week position with holiday and occasional night/ weekend rotation. Expected to respond to emergency call in (Equipment Failure, Floods and Snow Removal etc.). On call rotation when required.
