Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Key Responsibilities: • Installation and Maintenance: • Install new HVAC systems and components, ensuring all work meets safety and performance standards. • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity. • Repairs and Troubleshooting: • Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including malfunctioning components, leaks, and electrical problems. • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve system failures efficiently. • Customer Service: • Interact with customers to discuss their HVAC issues, explain repair procedures, and provide cost estimates. • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, ensuring customer satisfaction with service provided. • Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job. • Provide detailed reports to supervisors and customers regarding the condition and performance of HVAC systems. • Safety and Compliance: • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding HVAC system installation and repair. • Continuous Learning: • Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, techniques, and industry best practices. • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good physical condition and stamina. • Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification or licensure in HVAC (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification, NATE). • Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems. • Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and practices.
