Job Overview: As an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers by installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems. You’ll troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and keep systems running efficiently to ensure customers stay comfortable and confident in our service. We offer: • Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus (Based on Experience) • Company-Provided Vehicle & Gas Card • 4 Weeks Paid Vacation • Comprehensive Benefits & Career Growth Opportunities What You’ll Do: • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems for residential and light commercial clients. • Diagnose and repair issues with refrigeration systems (ice machines, coolers, walk-ins, etc.). • Perform routine maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and extend system life. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot effectively. • Collaborate with other technicians and departments on complex service projects. • Use tools such as gauges, ohmmeters, and welding equipment when required. • Communicate clearly with customers about their system performance and recommended services. • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and job details in company software. Basic Qualifications: • Proven experience as an HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) Service Technician. • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with commercial or residential refrigeration systems. • EPA certification (Type I & II or Universal). • Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and wiring diagrams. • Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems (a plus). • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Accurate Mechanical is growing and looking to add experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to our team. We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Commercial HVAC Service Technician to maintain and repair our customers' air quality systems. The Commercial HVAC Service Technician will assist with repairing and calibrating systems, and replacing various components such as transformers, thermostats and compressors. You will diagnose problems, explain these to customers in clear, non-technical terms, relay findings to customers, and offer alternative solutions. To ensure success your customer skills should be as good as your technical aptitude, and you need to be well-versed in safety precautions. Top candidates are detail-oriented, organized and friendly. • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing HVAC systems, and performing warranty services. • Troubleshooting defective HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnoses. • Performing preventative maintenance by cleaning reheat coils and air handling units, and monitoring and calibrating air handling units. • Ensuring condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly. • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. • Keeping daily logs and records of maintenance functions utilizing digital software and forms. • Maintaining service truck. • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Health and Safety Act. Requirements: • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent. • 2+ year commercial HVAC experience.
