Industrial Carpenter

Job Summary Rochester’s hometown brewery is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated individual to join our projects/maintenance team position as Carpenter. The job is a commercial/ industrial setting where we purpose to maintain and/or improve the vast and complex facility in which our products are made, packaged, and warehoused. This position offers both opportunities for growth and skill development for the right individual. LOCATION: Rochester, NY DEPARTMENT: Maintenance STATUS: Full Time JOB TYPE: Union SHIFT: Days | Weekends and OT as needed Essential Functions And Responsibilities • Framing (wood and metal) • Roofing (metal, torch down, EPDM) • Siding (vinyl and metal) • Commercial metal door and hardware installation • Drywall (hanging and finishing) • Ceiling work (drop and hung vinyl) • Foundation (forming and reinforcing) • Scaffolding erection (frame/ tube and coupler/ universal) • Cabinetry (build and installation) • Flooring (vinyl plank) • Use of ariel lifts (scissors and boom) • Operation of forklift/ all-terrain forklift • Use of fall protection equipment • Entrance into confined spaces • Ladder work/work at heights • Frequent walking and stair climbing required Assisting In The Following • Concrete work • Epoxy floor installation • General masonry labor • Commercial pipe installation • General painting Experience, Education And Certifications • High School education • Solid work history • Measure, cut and shape wood, plastics, and other materials to specifications • Plumb/level/square • Knowledgeable in the use of a wide variety of hand and power tools (portable/stationary) • General understanding of construction prints, sketches or building plans • Problem solving • Ability to lift 75lbs • Willingness to assist other trades • Follow established health and product safety rules as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment PERKS • Generous Benefits with options to fit your life • Blue4U Discounts • Retirement Options with employer contributions • 10 paid holidays per year • Gainsharing Bonuses • Union Support • Genesee Brew House discounts • Culture of pride and community involvement • And of course, beer! The starting pay rate is $20.11/hour. This rate will increase to $21.87/hour after 6 months, and to $27.85 after 12 months as set forth in the applicable bargaining agreement.
