Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in the use of both hand and power tools. We work primarily indoors and are focused on high-end residential and commercial bathrooms and kitchen remodels. We require a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship, and an ability to work independently at times as well as part of a team. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations. Hours are flexible and we can offer anywhere from 10-40 hours each week. Responsibilities • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. • Execute trim carpentry tasks such as molding installation and finishing touches. • Utilize power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. • Conduct construction estimating to determine project needs and material quantities. • Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, and windows. • Lay tile for flooring or wall applications with precision. • Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless project execution. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
