We are a General Contractor. We provided installation on Roof Replacements, siding, windows, and gutters. We also do bath and kitchen remodels, for homes and commercial companies. We strive to give our customers high quality work at a reasonable price. Pay Range We are offering $20.00 to 30.00 an hour, depending on experience, and qualifications to perform the job. We also offer direct deposit and paid weekly. Hours We work Monday thru Friday 7am -5pm, no weekends. Our clients include heavy industrial, manufacturing; food-grade processing plants, chemicals, and processing; power and renewable energy, fertilizer facilities, commercial grain facilities, barge loading/unloading facilities, and cargo ship loading/unloading facilities. A Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment within industrial settings, such as manufacturing plants, construction sites, or production facilities. They are skilled in mechanical systems, including gears, belts, bearings, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime. Inspect and test machinery parts to identify defects or malfunctions. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Fabricate parts using welding, cutting, and machining techniques. Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production personnel to prioritize tasks and coordinate maintenance schedules. Journeyman Certification As a Millwright. (Preferred) Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial machinery. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and climbing. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays. A Pre-Employment Drug Screening is required, we are in Iowa. Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications in welding, machining, or industrial maintenance. Experience with specific types of machinery or equipment relevant to the industry. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Most of the work will be done outdoors. Per diem is on a project-by-project basis. Per Diem is paid when the employee spends the night in a hotel. Most projects are local to Sabula, IA and per diem will not be paid. Travel will vary with projects and year to year based on project locations. Travel can range from 10-90%.
