The ideal candidates will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to construction and remodeling. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements. • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements. • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items. • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding. • Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures and fixtures. • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively. • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and building codes. • Collaborate with other carpenters, contractors, and construction workers. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a carpenter. • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials. • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.). • Ability to read technical documents and drawings. • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times. • Good understanding of basic math. • Good physical condition and endurance. • High school diploma; successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required. Preferred Qualifications: • Additional certification(s) in carpentry. • Experience in residential and commercial construction projects. Restoration Commercial Carpenter

The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) is seeking an experienced carpenter with at least 3 years of experience working on long-term, commercial projects in Nashville, TN. Building restoration experience is a plus. TTG is an award-winning full-service building rehabilitation/restoration company. Primary duties include and require • Proper setup and protection of work areas • Ability to perform meticulous, quality work without oversight and to work independently when required • Daily cleanup & tidiness • Able to produce carpentry assemblies for historic restoration projects from shop drawings and specifications Essential Skills & Employment Criteria • Ability to work independently when needed without direct supervision and remain on task • Person is trained & experienced in use of finish carpentry tools and equipment to include various saws, compressors, nail guns, impact guns, drills, routers, planers and other woodworking equipment • Person has experience and understanding with use of shop woodworking equipment to include, planers, jointers, drill press, routers, table saws, sanders, lathes and other similar equipment • Person is familiar with basic/typical species of wood used in common finish carpentry • Person can competently measure, cut & fit finished millwork and lumber of all types with measurements accurate to within 1/32” to 1/16” of an inch, including miters and angles • Person can competently use a framing and speed square for finding angles • Person can competently mark and cut angles and miters on finish grade lumber • Person can competently cope inside miters for installation of millwork with coping saw • Person is capable of installing finish millwork that is plumb, square, level and true • Person is competent at independently executing layout and install all common finish millwork to include door & window casing, base board, crown molding, cornice construction, common straight staircases and similar interior/exterior finish carpentry items for both stained and painted finish • Person can read blueprints and determine layouts and dimensions from prints • OSHA 10 training is required prior to job start • Ability to pass a security clearance We work where we live, and it shows. JOB TITLE: CONSTRUCTION WORKER II DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING - STORMWATER OPERATIONS DIVISION NON-EXEMPT: YES FULL TIME: YES GRADE: F (RATE OF PAY: $19.09) JOB SUMMARY: The person employed in this capacity will perform his/her duties under the direction of the Public Works Director, Superintendent of Stormwater or Group Leader. This person will assist with the construction and maintenance of the City's stormwater system. Essential Job Functions • Safely operate a manual or automatic transmission dump truck to load or unload materials used for daily construction activities. • Operate tools, machinery, and heavy equipment. • Operate power driven machinery such as a jackhammer, wacker packer, walk behind vibratory roller, and other small equipment and tools to perform storm drainage construction. • Lay and repair culverts and headwalls. • Assist with the construction, installation, and repair of curb inlets and drainage structures. • Form, pour and finish concrete for items such as inlets, headwalls, and driveways. • Clean, flush, and remove debris from culverts, inlets, and ditches. • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and work cooperatively with others to provide quality service. • Assist in the installation of traffic control when lane closures or road closures are needed. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Tools/Equipment • Backhoe, front-end loader, mini excavator, dump truck, air compressor, saws, shovels, rakes, and other power tools. Required Education, Degrees, Certificates, And/Or License • High School Diploma or GED. • Experience in storm drainage or site work construction. • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes required. Experience, Training, Knowledge And Skills • Considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operation principles. • Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations. • Working knowledge of the methods, materials and tools used in storm drainage construction. • Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment. • Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions. • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. • Ability to observe proper safety precautions. • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and the public. • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods. • Must have working knowledge of current traffic laws, ordinances, and rules involved in equipment operation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. • Must be able to lift, climb, stoop, crawl, kneel, reach with arms and legs and have good use of wrists, hands and fingers. • The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds. • Must have good vision for close and long distances and good depth perception. • Must wear ear and eye protection and be able to function under high-level noise.
