• Fabricate piping systems for mechanical installations on commercial construction projects. • Select type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment according to specifications. • Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes. • Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components together in various positions. • Bolt, clamp, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. • Install hangers, supports, valves, and components according to piping system plans and specifications. • Perform leak tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and piping systems. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications: • A minimum of 5 years' experience with pipe fitting processes using piping such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper is preferred. • Welding certification is preferred. • The ability to read and understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings is required. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals in order to determine work procedures such as ISO's and blueprints. • OSHA 10 hour certification is preferred.
