Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry and construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both rough and finish carpentry. This role requires a hands-on approach to building, repairing, and maintaining structures, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential. Duties • Perform construction estimating to determine project costs and materials needed. • Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Collaborate on construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. • Engage in concrete forming, plastering, and fabrication as required. • Install rebar for concrete projects and assist with roofing tasks. • Conduct woodworking tasks including cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation. • Participate in water damage restoration efforts and mold remediation projects. • Execute caulking, stucco application, siding installation, and flooring installation including tile laying. • Support general maintenance person duties such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and remodeling. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: • Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry. • Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and physical endurance for demanding tasks. • Experience in the restoration industry is highly desirable. • Previous experience in assembly work will be beneficial. • Strong understanding of construction painting techniques. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
