Job Description: The carpenter will work with job foremen to complete several projects under contract. A successful candidate will be able to work together with a team of professionals to complete these projects within the projected deadline and under budget. For more information about Loenbro – please visit the loenbro.com Job Duties • Constructing, fabricating, installing and dismantling form work of fixtures of metal, wood, and other accessories • Ability to read and interpret instructions • Document, plan and perform work activities independently • Read and interpret blue prints • Perform all other job duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications • 2 years of carpentry experience in a commercial setting • Extensive knowledge of commercial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and adherence to applicable building codes and must be proficient at reading blueprints. • Must be able to clearly explain steps and provide clear directions. • Must be able to utilize your time wisely to not only be able to supervise other carpenters, but also be able to work alongside them to meet or exceed company goals. • Must be able to complete and fulfill paperwork required for purchase orders, time sheets, etc. and answer questions about the construction processes to field staff and other subcontractors. • Must be willing to embrace the company’s core values • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Potential Hazards • Outside the majority of the time • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels • Limited working surfaces • The use of X-ray machines • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors • Exposure to areas with limited visibility Essential Requirements • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights) • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time on a monthly basis for required tasks • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following: • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day • Standing • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel • Use of respirator if position requires • Driving if required to travel • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search. FNF Construction, Inc. is a general contractor providing heavy civil construction services throughout the Southwestern United States. We are seeking a Carpenter with at least 2-5 years of experience safely performing highway and bridge structure/curb and gutter form fabrication and concrete finishing. The Carpenters are required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds, climb and balance on scaffolding and ladders and labor when required. Candidates must be able to read and understand construction plans and will assist masons placing and finishing concrete structures, including flat work.
