Rope Partner has an immediate need for experienced wind turbine rope access and non rope blade repair technicians that are looking to become senior fiberglass technicians with the company. • 3+ years of wind turbine composite blade repair experience. (2+ considered) • SPRAT Level 3 supervisor certification. Applicants holding IRATA certification or lower levels of SPRAT certification with strong backgrounds in composite blade repair are still encouraged to apply • Proven ability to work safely. OurEnergy is rapidly evolving from a boutique electrical infrastructure engineering consulting firm to a full developer of renewable energy infrastructure projects for municipal, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale installations. We seek a skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team and to manage consulting and EPCM delivery. This leadership role requires solid experience with electrical infrastructure design-build and specialization in renewable energy systems design, which may include solar, wind, battery storage, fuel cell, generators, microgrids, transmission & distribution, and/or energy management systems. We’re also looking for strategic thinking, excellent verbal & written communication skills, people coaching/development skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. You and your team will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing diligence and origination, techno-economic feasibility studies, energy infrastructure requirements analysis, systems designs, systems integration, interconnection, permitting and project management. Your team will additionally produce specifications and requirements for energy systems procurement, construction, construction management, and quality control as well EMS software solutions and systems operations and maintenance. What You’ll Do • Lead, manage, and develop a team of electrical, civil, and systems engineers to offer best-in-class renewable energy design, development, systems integration, project management, and consulting services. • Collaborate cross functionally with internal, client, and business partner resources providing support to technical, operational, sales, and management interests. • Provide energy infrastructure expertise to lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling. • Oversee the study, design, development, testing, and deployment of DERs, microgrids, and energy infrastructure systems. • Ensure adherence to best practices, industry regulations, and quality assurance processes. • Monitor project progress and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. • Manage multiple client projects underway simultaneously. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team. • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth within the engineering department. Qualifications You’ll Bring • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred • Professional engineer certification or qualifications • Proven experience as a Director of Engineering or similar leadership role • More than 6 years of engineering experience in a renewable energy field • Strong knowledge of energy infrastructure compliance standards and best practices • Deep aptitude for and knowledge of commercial & industrial electrical infrastructure and renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, battery storage, fuel cell, fossil-fuel generators, microgrids, transmission & distribution, and energy management systems • Proficiency with energy systems analysis software • Proficient with Google Workspace suite and other business operations software • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams • While this role can be performed remotely with occasional travel to client sites, we do require full accessibility during Pacific Time zone business hours. Candidates who are within commuting range of our Santa Cruz, California office will be given additional consideration.
