Assistant Construction Project Manager (Wind / Renewables - Nationwide Opportunities!)

Overview: Are you ready to take the next step in your construction career and help shape the future of clean energy? We're looking for a self-driven, resourceful, and disciplined Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of utility-scale wind projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role designed to develop future project leaders. You'll be part of a team that partners with top energy clients nationwide to build a more sustainable future-one project at a time. Working directly onsite, you'll collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget. You'll play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations, tracking progress, and solving problems in real time-while learning the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through close-out. Location & Travel Details: You'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build renewable projects. This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You'll spend 8-16 months on average per project. We offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses. A vehicle allowance will be provided. Our company has one of the industry leading rotational programs as well, with routine travel home from the jobsite. Responsibilities: Responsibilities • Coordinate engineering studies • Coordinate change order requests • Coordinate situations with engineers • Coordinate with estimating on projects • Submittals and requests for information • Work with owners and clients on specifications and technical questions in planning stages • Work on projects in planning stages • Coordinate with owners or clients on planning projects • Coordinate with regional managers on status of projects • Create subcontracts and PO's • Track job costs and predict monthly revenue streams • Manage QA/QC on projects • Identify, research and resolve all contract disputes with the Owner • Maintain prime contract with the Owner or Client • Establish monthly billing procedure with the Owner or Client • Establish and maintain job cost control, which will be reported monthly • Review general conditions cost on a monthly basis • Review subcontractor's application for payment based on percent complete and approve or adjust • Approve material and subcontract invoices for payment • Issue change orders to subcontractors • Initiate and execute all monthly progress payments to the Owner Qualifications: Qualifications • Bachelor's degree (B. Title Wind Technician- Hub Technician Role Summary/Purpose The Wind Technician position requires local travel within the hub. The Wind Technician is a critical and active role to maintain optimal function and output at the wind site by working daily on turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repair(s). The Wind Technician partners and communicates with the Site Lead and Manager to execute on contract requirements and timelines and ensures alignment with GE excellence! Essential Responsibilities As the Wind Technician you will: • Work with site & hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and activities set forth with on a daily basis, which include any portion of the electrical and mechanical equipment used in the GE wind turbine generator; • Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions; • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines; • Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision; observing all safety requirements; • Perform some diagnostic electrical analysis; • Document all work performed using computer based service reporting procedures and • Work with and respond to GE's remote operations center when necessary. Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma or GED, and • 1+ year(s) experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience, and • Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment, and • Basic computer skills Requirements • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license • Handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs. and climb towers up to 300 feet daily • Meet specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300lbs including required gear • Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities • Effectively prioritize work according to contract obligations • Ability and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision, and • Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules, and on-call per site needs. • Occasional overnights may be required per hub needs.
