Maintenance Millwright

About the role: The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation for the Eagle Creek Hydroelectric Plants. The Maintenance Millwright diagnoses malfunctions in production machinery and equipment, repairs, and maintains equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, operations manuals, and manufactures specifications. Provides a resource to execute repairs, tests, and upgrades to machinery, equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of mechanical principles. The Maintenance Millwright will coordinate through the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with Operators for any planning or scheduling for any of their duties. Why Eagle Creek? • A comprehensive benefits plan: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Commuter benefits, Voluntary Life, 401(k) match • Eleven paid holidays per year, plus a competitive PTO schedule and time off to volunteer or give back to your community • Access to a company-funded Employee Assistance Program • Employee discounts through ADP LifeMart • Tuition Reimbursement as well as access to trainings & mentors for Career Progression and Personal Development What you’ll do: • Provide coordination, technical assistance and resolution when mechanical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction • Install and maintain mechanical equipment. • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems • Assist with the written documentation and commissioning procedures for mechanical installation • Assist with the preparation of project cost and work-time estimates • Assist with the evaluation of engineering proposals, shop drawings and design comments for sound mechanical engineering practices and conform with established safety and design criteria and make recommendations • Conduct testing and inspections for quality control and assurance programs, report findings and recommendations • Keep the Maintenance Manager and/or Operators informed of all unusual conditions that might affect the safety, plant operations and license requirements • Maintain security measures at all facilities, including closing and locking of all access gates and buildings • Address safety concerns in a timely manner, necessary to provide for safety, public safety or asset preservation • Comply and enforce all applicable company standards, practices and policies. • Maintain and enforce all applicable local, state and federal environmental permits and regulatory requirements • Assist with the start-up and shut down all project equipment and auxiliary systems related to the plant • Assist in the remedy of all facility outages • Assist with the development and improvement of operational policies and procedures • Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance checks and checklists, as assigned • Assist with all plant maintenance and repairs when necessary and as qualified • Limited scope electrical operations within the scope of training and practice • Promote continual education and training within your team • Proficiency with computers, strong written skills and verbal communication • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or necessitated by Eagle Creek operations Physical Requirements: • Ability to perform manual tasks including but not limited to: • The operation of hand and power tools and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs • Being able to bend and maneuver in tight, cramped quarters • Ability to work in hot, noisy, and dark environments, often alone and isolated • Comfortability working at heights and around water • Ability to work with and wear respiratory protection • Reach with hands and arms above shoulder level and at shoulder level • Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time • Grip and manually manipulate, often in repetitive motion, items such as but not limited to hand tools and machine parts • Read and identify labels, gauges, dials, and indicators typically encountered in performing job duties • Possess clear and effective verbal communication in all circumstances, including emergency situations and giving/receiving instructions over a radio Eagle Creek Hydro Operations, LLC is an equal opportunity employer
