Traveling Wind Troubleshooter Technician

GEV Wind Power seeks a skilled Wind Turbine Troubleshooter Technician with experience across multiple wind turbine platforms. This role ensures reliable wind turbine operation through advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and team leadership. Responsibilities • Travel to various wind farm sites for job assignments • Troubleshoot problems on systems where duly trained/certified, including hydraulics, electrical and mechanical • Develop advanced troubleshooting knowledge and skills on site in collaboration with other competent individuals • Perform maintenance tasks as needed • Lead small teams; accountable for the safety, competency and productivity of individuals assigned to them • Keep records, maintains documentation and reports technical, safety issues and difficulties as required by company policy • Maintain and follows safety procedures as required by company policy • Assist or perform component replacement, retrofits, and other special assignments • Continue to develop and expand wind maintenance skillset through on-the-job training and train others in performing service work • Work safely, competently and productively under the direction of others Requirements • At least 3 years of hands-on troubleshooting experience with Siemens Gamesa (G114, G126, G132, SG145), Vestas (3.X / 4.X), or other major wind turbine models • Citizen of or eligible to travel to and work in Canada for extended periods of time (valid passport required) • Ability to work an 8 week on, 1 week off rotation • Physically able to safely climb wind turbines up to 90m+ (300+ feet), stand, stoop, walk, crawl, crouch, stoop and generally meet the physical demands of the position • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including by air and ground transportation, often on short notice, and to spend extended periods away from home at project sites • Ability to drive or travel up to 11 hours per day when required • Able to work safely in outdoor environments under both extreme heat and cold conditions • Good vision (with corrective lenses if necessary) to perform detailed inspections, read instructions, and safely operate equipment • Solid knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems • Maintenance experience, including knowledge of using grease guns, filter changes, using ERAD system, doing torquing and tensioning and similar service • Valid and current driving license with a satisfactory driving record • Must be 21 years of age to be able to drive a company vehicle • Proficiently read, write and speak English • Satisfactory criminal background check Preferred Certifications: • GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) - fire awareness, working at heights, manual handling, first aid • GWO BTT (Basic Technical Training) - electrical, hydraulic, mechanical • OSHA 10 General Industry • Applicable Siemens Gamesa Technical eLearning • Crane, Chain Hoist and Rigging Safety Training • NFPA 70E Arc-Flash Awareness • Prefer training or experience with Touchscreen Controller Hand Terminals

Logistics Team Member - Solect Energy

Logistics Team Member As a Logistics Team Member (LTM) at Solect Energy, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction, services, special projects, and facilities operations. You'll ensure the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and fleet management, directly contributing to our mission of operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Material Delivery & Site Support (60%) : • Drive company vehicles to deliver construction materials and safety equipment. • Use site visit checklists and photos for pre-stage, stage, and support activities. • Support the Regulatory Team with permit drop-offs and pickups. • Always adhere to safety policies and procedures. Warehouse & Inventory Management (15%) : • Maintain inventory levels and controls. • Arrange site rental equipment deliveries and pickups. • Support facility maintenance. Fleet & Documentation (10%) : • Maintain company fleet and complete DOT trip logs and weekly Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). • Process weekly logistics duty logs, inventory tracking sheets, and ensure proper documentation for receiving and delivery orders. Willingness and ability to travel to job sites, climb ladders / stairs, work on rooftops, and lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in extreme environments (heat, snow, rain, wind). OSHA 10 Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire). Preferred Skills : • Strong communication skills (internal and with subcontractors). • Excellent customer service. • Basic computer proficiency. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities The expected starting pay range for this role is $23.00 - $29.00 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may vary above or below these amounts based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
