What The Role Is This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and has primary responsibility for the Honeycomb assets located in Enoch, UT. What You'll Be Doing • Collaborate with the CEG construction team to be the face of the O&M team. Anything that is needed on the construction side will go through the Lead Tech. They will inspect any work that requires digging in the Substations to protect any existing infrastructure. • Schedule any outages that are related to the BESS construction work and BESS O&M work • Be present and work through most of those outages on night shifts • Assist the Plant Manager with BESS-related warranty to create and resolve claims as needed. • Provide any contract partners access to perform maintenance as needed. • Responsible for opening MV transformers for contract partners to perform any needed work. • Work with the Plant Manager to get tooling, PPE, spare parts, training, maintenance schedule, and anything else needed to be operationally ready before COD. • Assist the Plant Manager with any tasks that are needed at the UTAH facilities for successful operations. • Monitor and enforce safe work practices as they relate to BESS Solar plants and BESS Solar BOP repairs and maintenance. • Primary responsibility: responsible to maintain sites availability at the highest state of operability, meeting contractual obligations, and budget • Manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the BESS industry, with an emphasis on safety, planning/scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance. • Monitor and report on manufacture and third-party maintenance and repair efforts • Supervise/conduct/assist in trouble shooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems. • Monitors and manages the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment, tools, and reordering as necessary. • Inspect completed repairs and scheduled maintenance for quality assurance. • Maintain logs and records as required to record complete operating conditions for the facility and report and irregularities. • Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements. • Communicates regularly with Management and all site personnel, both individually and as a group, to ensure excellent two-way communication concerning operational and maintenance issues. • Participate in contract negotiations with sub-contractors and other vendors for parts and services required. • Responsible for manuals, updates, and work instructions for site personnel and BESS systems • Develop standard work procedures. • Work overtime and non-standard working hours – (nights) as required What You'll Bring • High school diploma or GED required • 3 years of experience in the operation of Commercial BESS plants or 5 years of equivalent experience in instrumentation & controls, MV/HV Electrical work. • If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications but see yourself contributing, please submit your resume What Would Be Nice • Qualified to perform all routine and emergency operations at an electric generation facility and HV Switchyard. • Experience working with plant systems and computerized maintenance management systems.
