Position: Welding Associate Reports To: Welding/Frame Team Leader Direct reports: No direct reports Qualifications: Understanding of Welding practices and procedures. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous welding experience is preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform assembly operations utilizing appropriate processes, tools and work instructions in order to meet customer's quality, cost and delivery requirements. Complete production requirements daily. Support Quality Control through post-delivery tasks as required. Provide training for new associates or fellow associates new to a process. Support Quality built into the process by ensuring the quality of parts and assemblies when received at a process. Monitor the accuracy of processes and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete production requirements daily. Perform mig welding on appropriate processes. Support initiatives relating to 5S and Kaizen programs. Ensure safe operations. All other duties as assigned. Must have an understanding of manufacturing fundamentals and JIT principles, high manual dexterity and good visual acuity to work with parts. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, use fingers, hands, wrists, arms, lift and/or move a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to travel.
