Essential Functions: • Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements. • Learns the supports lean manufacturing concepts and methods including cell setup, mapping, and value streaming for efficient product flow. • Perform a variety of approve welding techniques to required tolerances per engineering specifications; may perform work on new product development or experimental materials under the direction of engineering. • Adjust, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process in order to achieve product conformance. • Assist and train other employees in daily activities as needed. • Perform full set-up and maintenance to assure quality and repeatability; may be required to set up for other welders. • Maintain appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and utilize this knowledge base to become proficient in new/unfamiliar assignments. • Maintain a satisfactorily high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements. • Document and log all parts as necessary and maintain all required paperwork in an accurate and current manner. • Maintain a high level of welding quality as documented by actual reject/nonconformance charting • Maintain work area and equipment in an organized, clean, and FOD- free manner • Obtain and maintain all required qualifications and certifications in all appropriate metals. • Accurately inspect and appropriately process all work performed; Discover/detect defects, analyze, and take corrections. • Actively implements lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Effectively applies lean concepts and tools in the work area. • Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area. • Performs other related responsibilities as required. Qualifications: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Aluminum Fitter Welder Looking for an experienced fabricator to build aluminum railings and gates. Requirements: • Must have reliable transportation and able to show up on time. • Able to understand fabrication prints. • Attention to detail. • Able to measure and layout stair railings, balcony railings and pool gates. • Able to determine cut angles. • Able to TIG and MIG. The kinds of welds they are looking to be done are: • Stainless Steel and Aluminum - 30,000- 60,000 • 347 Stainless and 4043 Aluminum • The Aluminum and steel welds they do require almost an artistic flare. • They have to have fed the wire by hand, and made clean welds. • Our best welders have come from automotive, motorcycle intake manifolds • Any welder that knows the term “artistic”, would know what this is about. • A background with custom intake manifolds would be great. • Many of these welders may be good welders, but our fuel systems and tanks need to be welded • With almost an artistic design. Intense attention to detail required.
