Overview We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. As a welder, you will be responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, bridges, and pipelines. Responsibilities: • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements • Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders • Weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products, using welding techniques and processes such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) • Monitor the welding process to avoid overheating, warping, or other defects • Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications • Maintain welding equipment and tools, and ensure they are in good working order • Follow safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing protective clothing and equipment • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Completion of a welding program or apprenticeship • Certification in welding (preferred) • Proven experience as a welder • Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and equipment • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in awkward positions • Strong communication and teamwork skills If you are a skilled welder looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position.
