Welding Adjunct

General Purpose and Scope of the position: Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School. Major Responsibilities: PROGRAM OPERATION: Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines. STUDENTS: Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. INSTRUCTION: Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Ivy Learn, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work. Minimum Qualifications: Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 as applicable to the specific area of instruction. A qualified faculty member meets the discipline standard through one of two routes: 1. Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution. 2. Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in related courses. Combination Welder

We currently have a need for experienced Pipe Welder for work in Logansport, Indiana! Much of the work being performed will be in an industrial environment. Some of our customers include steel mills, food and beverage facilities, chemical facilities, orthopedic facilities, plastics, and automotive manufacturing. Primary Responsibilities can include ability to fabricate, carbon steel sch 80/160 Heavy Wall, Stainless Sch 10/40 weld pipe; miter and fabricate all pipe; basic rigging; operation of pneumatic and electric tools at times. Weld test Phase 1: 1. 3- ½” Schedule 80 Carbon TIG in 6G position-will be sent off to be shot. Could take a day or two to come back! 2. 2 ½” Schedule 160 Heavy Wall Carbon TIG in 6G position-will be sent off to be shot. Could take a day or two to come back! 3. 2” Schedule 10 Stainless TIG out in 5G position-will be a visual with a possibility of a bend test. Phase2: Once you pass Phase 1, you will come back to the shop and be asked to pass 3 production welds which could be any size pipe but more than likely be 6” Stainless TIG. These welds will be sent off for x-ray as well. Once they come back passed the rest of the welds will be shot at 10% moving forward. Skills needed from the Ideal Candidate: • Previous pipe welding experience is a must! • Previous stainless and carbon experience is a must • Ability to pass multiple weld tests • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ISO’s, field installations, material takeoffs, field sketches, and understand specifications • Good math skills • Completed work should be neat in appearance and operate properly • Strong verbal and written communications skills Company Info: Dilling Group Inc. is an INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTOR headquartered in Indiana with multiple job sites across the country.
