Tig Welder Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The Tig Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on various materials, ensuring that all work meets industry standards. Duties • Perform TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum, ensuring strong and clean welds. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements. • Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Operate welding equipment safely and effectively, maintaining a clean and organized work area. • Conduct inspections of completed welds using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. • Assist in rigging materials as needed for welding operations. • Perform maintenance on welding equipment and report any issues promptly. • Engage in continuous learning of new techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Tig Welder or similar role in a manufacturing or construction environment. • Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG Welding. • Familiarity with machining processes is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Must possess good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
