Pay Range: $25-$30/hour Welder's will fit and weld natural gas delivery products built from raw materials according to blue print specifications in accordance with API 1104 certification standards and procedures. Qualifications / Requirements: • Minimum of one year of experience in welding and pipe fitting • Pass 6G Butt and Tee Branch welding tests • Test to complete API 1104 certification • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and mechanical drawings • Understand API 1104 certification standards and procedures • Experience in turntable welding preferred • Agree to pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol test as required by DOT Key responsibilities and accountabilities: • Receive raw materials for project and match to corresponding blue prints/drawings • Fit and weld project in accordance to blue print/drawing specification and API 1104 standards • Support production schedule to ensure minimum 'reworks' so that product is delivered to the client on time • Accurately maintain required records and documentation for each project as outlined by Fabrication Foreman and/or Manager • Uphold a clean and safe work area • Timely reports for any maintenance requirement needed for equipment in your work area so that production schedule is not affected • Follow ALL corporate safety requirements and standards including but not limited to; welder safety equipment, protective clothing, protective lenses/goggles, steel toed boots, etc. • Safely operate a forklift Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.

WELDER - Weekend Shift

Atlas Machine & Supply, Inc., is seeking a skilled Welder to join our Louisville, Ky team! This position fabricates or repairs metal parts by welding, brazing, cutting and metal spraying, using Mig, Tig, Stick, Oxyacetylene, Submerged Arc welding and spraying equipment by applying their welding knowledge and skills to complete the assignments. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances before welding the work piece, establishing the sequence of operations and setting up requirements. • Measures, marks, and scribes' dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent welding • Calculates and sets controls to regulate welding factors such as rotation speed, travel speed, tip angle, preheat and post heat • Starts and observes welding operations to detect malfunctions and adjusts machine controls to the required adjustments • Collaborates with engineers, production staff, programmers, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve welding or assembly issues. • Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment and tests operations of unit to ensure functionality and performance • Recommends plan of action based on their welding expertise as applicable • Operates overhead cranes to transport, set or move work assignments and other material handling equipment. • Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) High School is required. • Trade school training in welding is a plus. • Requires one to three years’ welding experience or combination of experience and education may be considered. • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. • Must be able to interpret and understand blueprints, sketches, and written instructions. • Strong analytical skills are necessary including problem solving. • DOT certification may be required. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Position requires standing, sitting, squatting, twisting or stooping for long periods. • Travel up to 20%.
