Job Summary / Essential Functions: • Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform welding on all equipment at the jobsite. • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of catastrophic failures. • Fuel and grease equipment as required. • Keep records of work performed. Special Skills or Qualifications Required: • At least one year of experience in welding and repair of heavy diesel equipment, including hard surfacing and repair of ground engaging tools. • Ability to weld in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead). • Proper use of torch, air arc, stick weld, and wire weld. • Knowledge of MIG and TIG units and metals used in mining equipment. • At least one year of experience in align boring and re-facing. • Basic math skills. • Valid driver's license. • High school diploma or GED. Expectations: • Self-motivated with minimal supervision. • Effective communication and coordination with co-workers and supervisors. • Compliance with Company, State, and Federal regulations and policies. • Adherence to high safety standards and proper use of PPE. • Ability to read and understand MSDS and operate power and hand tools. • Willingness to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements for Surface Operations: • Constant walking, standing, stair and ladder climbing, overhead work, bending, and twisting. • Ability to stand and squat for prolonged periods. • Seated operation of equipment or vehicles for up to 4 hours. • Work from elevated positions, climb stairs and equipment. • Lifting and carrying loads between 10-50 lbs frequently. • Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions with rapid reflexes and good hand-eye coordination. • Work in extreme conditions, including weather, dust, mud, noise, light variations, and confined spaces. • Work with equipment that has moderate to high vibration. • Wear PPE as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
