The primary responsibility of the Welder/Fabricator position is the ability to weld proficiently using any of the following processes, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, or SAW. Having the understanding and ability to follow basic weld procedures along with basic blue print reading skills. What will my responsibilities include? Adheres to all safety rules and uses proper personal protective equipment Organize and maintain work area to achieve safe, clean and efficient operations. Working knowledge of welding, fixturing, weld wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, stainless and carbon Review schedule, prioritize daily work, review specifications and blueprints to determine equipment, material and tool requirements. Detects fault operation of equipment or defective materials or parts and notifies Lead/Supervisor. Must have sufficient visual acuity to operate machines and visually inspect parts produced. Able to regularly life and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Welds components in flat, vertical and overhead positions. Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.Qualifications What qualifications should I have? High school diploma or GED required. Technical school graduate preferred. Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
