See More Details >>Position Summary: Welder II performs high level skilled welding tasks in the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, fixtures, and machinery for the Harlingen Water Works System. A Welder II is expected to exercise independent judgment for all assignments received and to take initiative with reasonable guidance from supervisor in determining the necessary repairs and/or adjustments. Offers guidance to Welder I in regard to job assignments. Work is conducted under minimal supervision and evaluated through observation and efficiency of duties performed. Physical strength and endurance are required to perform manual labor for extended periods of time, possibly in adverse weather and working conditions.
