Welding Instructor Assistant

Job Summary The Welding Instructor Assistant supports the lead welding instructor in delivering high-quality education and training to students. This role involves assisting with the preparation and organization of instructional materials and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. The assistant will also help with administrative tasks, such as recording grades, and will provide additional support to students who need extra help with welding techniques or theoretical concepts. A strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and a passion for welding are essential for this position. Primary Job Duties Assisting with Instruction ● Assist Lead instructor in preparing instructional materials and activities ● Ensure the shop environment is well-organized and operates efficiently ● Set up and maintain equipment and materials for shop activities ● Offer hands-on troubleshooting support to students as required. Supporting Students/Lab Tasks ● Offer additional support to students as directed by the lead instructor. ● Prepare welded certification tests by cutting them apart and preparing them for mechanical bending. Administrative Tasks ● Help with administrative duties such as recording grades and grading assignments. ● Assist in setting up and maintaining welding equipment and tools. ● Student & Career services support ● Supporting prospective student tours Safety and Compliance ● Ensure that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed during welding activities. ● Help the instructor conduct safety toolbox topics and monitor students to prevent accidents. ● Student & Career services support ● Supporting prospective student tours Secondary Job Duties · Comply with company policies, processes and internal information systems including but not limited to, Memo, Welder’s Log. · Optional participation in annual Lynnes Welding Training Events Including but not limited to: Highschool welding competitions, Scouts welding merit badge, bi-yearly open houses. Job Requirements · Degree / Certificate or equivalent in Welding · Current Driver’s License Compensation This position is non-exempt. Substitute Welding Instructor

Job Summary The Substitute Welding Instructor supports the continuity of welding instruction both in the classroom and shop. This role will provide direct coverage for regular welding instructor staff. Substitute instructors will be available on a as needed basis. Responsibilities include support of the practical application and demonstration of various welding processes and techniques in the shop and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for students. Safety and Compliance ● Ensure that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed during welding activities. Secondary Job Duties · Comply with company and ACCSC accreditation policies, processes and internal information systems including but not limited to, Memo, Welder’s Log. Job Requirements · Degree / Certificate or equivalent in Welding experience · Minimum of three years of welding industry related experience · Current Driver’s License Compensation This position is non-exempt.
