This is a full-time position which may include teaching day and/or night classes. Travel may be required to instructional sites. Position will be based at both the Enterprise and Ozark campuses dependent on need. Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Prepares course syllabi and instructional materials, delivers instruction, and evaluates and records student progress in assigned courses2. Conducts instruction in a wide variety of settings and timeframes to include day and evening at any instructional site3. Employs appropriate teaching strategies in classroom and laboratory settings4. Organizes and maintains instructional equipment as required5. Explains, demonstrates, and ensures the safe use of tools, materials, and equipment in classroom and laboratory settings6. Evaluates and advises College administration regarding textbooks and other instructional materials pertinent to the area of instruction7. Orders required materials using established procedures8. Advises students on class schedules and coursework for degree plan completion9. Schedules and maintains office hours for student assistance10. Promotes leadership and enrichment experiences through student organizations and/or other activities11. Remains current on technological and employment trends pertinent to area of instruction12. Maintains current industry certifications as required13. Interacts with representatives from the welding industry and agencies14. Participates in College meetings, College committees, and professional development activities15. Participates in curriculum development, evaluation, and revision16. Recruits students for the program17. Participates in the College's planning process18. Works with the Dean of Instruction and Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning to develop, collect, analyze, and evaluate Student Learning Outcome (SLO) data19. May be assigned as program lead by Dean of Instruction. Program lead will coordinate across multiple instructional sites to ensure continuity and quality in instruction, to standardize content, and to streamline equipment purchasing.20.
