Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities • TIG and MIG welding experience of 2 or more years. • Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and tape measure, etc. • Tack welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment. • Examines specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements. • Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties. • Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards. • Ability to troubleshoot welds and welding equipment. • Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required. • Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment. • Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to work overtime as required. • Follows company safety policies and procedures. • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older. • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) of welding capabilities. • Understand, read and write communications. • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Education and Experience • HS Diploma or GED. • 5 years of experience in area of responsibility. Qualifications • Experience with fabrication shop equipment. • Metal working experience. • Orbital Welding experience. • Plasma and/or oxyacetylene cutting experience.
