1st shift Welder - Oklahoma City, OK

Job Overview Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and provided to the customer in a timely manner. A Day In The Life • Operator will be required to set-up and adjust machines and equipment in order to produce an acceptable quality product. • Will receive instructions, prints, and route sheets for the job. Will organize and plan operational duties for the shift he/she is assigned. • Will be required to set-up, operate, program, and troubleshoot Robot Systems (material handling, drilling, and welding) of other robotics pieces of equipment in the welding process to achieve acceptable levels in productivity and quality. • Perform all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by Quality Assurance or his/her supervisor. • Operator will continually visually inspect product, record production as required, report/record scrap, and will perform other various duties or rework as assigned. • Operator will be required to make routine equipment adjustments to ensure the process is efficient and welding to company standards at all times. • Will be required to manually repair, or hand-weld some products that are below standard, due to tolerance variables during the Robotic operations. • Operator will need to know how to operate overhead crane, forklift, hand-held grinder, and other department equipment. • Must keep equipment and work area clean and orderly. • Must be able to work as a team. What will help you thrive in this role? • Must be qualified and successfully have held a Certified Welder’s job or its equivalent, either in position or be certified by a technical institute. • 6G and/or pipe welding experience preferred. • Operator will be required to pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy. • Must be able to satisfactorily use calipers, gages, and other measuring devices. • Will be required to perform SPC procedures and tests, then interpret findings in order to make appropriate changes in the process. • Must be able to navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface). • Highly motivated and willing to solve problems. MIG NIGHT SHIFT WELDER

SHIFT HOURS: 9PM - 6AM Must have 1+ years of MIG experience. Summary of Position: Perform day to day general welding and fabrication duties. Must be flexible/available for weekends and after-hours work (40+ hours/wk). Roles and Responsibilities: • Read blueprints and sketches in order to execute jobs and tasks to specification • Use electricity and torches to solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals • Select and use proper tools and equipment for each task such as tape measures and calipers • Monitor equipment for appropriate usage and temperature • Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions • Project management and fabrication • Maintain safe and clean work environment • Maintain professionalism in the work place • Perform any other assigned proprietary duties Qualifications and Requirements: • Mathematically and mechanically inclined • Previous welding and fabrication experience • Good reading and writing skills • Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily) • Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 70 lbs. in adherence to Midwest Hose Safety Policy; receiving unloads up to 100%; order pulling up to 100% • Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes. • Commitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily Education and Experience: • High School diploma or GED (required) • 5+ years of welding experience (required) • MIG certification (required) • Additional power equipment experience (preferred but not required) About Us: Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America. Job Description DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Welder. The ideal candidate for this position has prior welding experience and is mechanically inclined. The right person will have experience with metal fabrication. Daily Tasks and Responsibilities: • Assembles key components to existing vehicles, at assigned workstations, performing any combination of following tasks according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and production fixtures. • Read and interpret specifications. • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements • Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety • Experience with installing crash attenuator assemblies onto existing frames/chassis a plus. • Mechanically inclined, experience with using floor jacks, Oil change, filter change, fluid change and tire change. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Valid driver's license with 5 years of clean driving record. • Experience in heavy truck (gas and diesel) repair. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check. • Technical educational training in Mechanics is preferred. • Experience in welding/fabrication required. • Experience working on smaller hand tools such as, chainsaws, trimmers, and leaf blowers. • Experience working on mowers, skid steers, spray equipment/ systems are a plus. • Ability to work overtime a plus.
