MAIN FUNCTION Responsible for the operating conditions and the operations portion of the plant facility. Observes and operates process equipment in a safe and smooth manner. Implements and follows plant procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinates with Production Supervisors in order to start up and shutdown carbon black reactors • Performs routine maintenance in order to keep the facility operational • Establishes flow of carbon black on pelletizing units by following procedure. • Properly fills out the required record keeping forms. • Collects quality control samples for processing by the Quality Lab. • Monitors and trouble shoots process equipment in the field. • Performs housekeeping on a daily basis around the facility. • Ensures safety and environmental rules are followed • Responsible for gauging of storage tanks. • Conserves production resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Assist with improved quality and efficiencies in the Production Department. • Other duties as assigned.
