Renewable Energy Technician 1 [On-site] - Full-time

The target range for this position is $24.00 to $30.00 per hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location/p h2Responsibilities/h2 p80% - In the field: /p ul liPerforms preventative maintenance on wind turbines, utility scale photovoltaic power plants and storage systems./li liUnder the supervision of an experienced technician, performs troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/ revisions to a broad range of equipment in the renewable industry./li liProperly completes Job Safety Assessments, applies LOTOs by following LOTO plans procedures, identifies reports all safety hazards on jobsite and suggest improvements, and attends safety meetings./li liParticipates in the 24hr/weekly “On Call” rotation work outside business hours when needed./li liAttends safety and technical training required for this position./li /ul p15% - Administrative duties, such as documenting completed jobs, implementing supply orders. Travel and accommodation expenses for this training will be provided./p h2Qualifications/h2 puEducation/Experience/u:/p ul liHigh school Diploma or equivalent required./li li1 to 2 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required./li liMust meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards./li /ul puSkills/Knowledge/Abilities/u – /p ul liMust possess a valid current driver’s license and successfully meet organizational requirements to operate motor vehicles./li liRequires basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of wind turbines/ photovoltaic power and energy storage systems./li liFamiliar with CSA Z462 / NFPA 70E and able to identify the appropriate PPE required for specific tasks and environments./li liRequires basic understanding of schematics and can use a multi-meter correctly./li liAble to demonstrate basic computer knowledge./li liAble to follow both verbal and written instructions./li liGood verbal and written communication skills./li liSuccessfully complete applicable safety and technical training program for the entry level technician. /li liAbility to understand, read, write, and speak clearly in English./li /ul p /p pTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily./p pThe requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required./p puPhysical Requirements/u:/p ul liThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
