Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development & Finance Associate with at least three years of experience to join its Corporate team. The ideal candidate will work on leading-edge projects in the renewable energy sector, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydrogen, and battery storage. Location: • Jackson, WY Duties: • Work on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydrogen, and battery storage. • Draft and negotiate key agreements such as power purchase agreements, asset/company sale agreements, hedge contracts, and construction contracts. • Advise clients on project development, financing, acquisition, and sale within the renewable energy sector. • Provide guidance on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate finance transactions. • Collaborate with clients and senior attorneys to ensure timely execution of projects. • Support client management through effective communication and providing tailored legal solutions. • Engage with complex regulatory and environmental issues tied to energy projects. Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts. • Experience in renewable energy law is highly preferred but not required. • Familiarity with power purchase agreements, asset or company sales, and construction contracts is a plus. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • A team-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams. • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
