PV Installation Professional

Job Description: We're looking for someone to join our highly skilled field team of experienced solar PV installers and electricians. This position requires a high level of teachability, solid work ethic, great interpersonal communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Join our world-class, innovative team today Position Specific Description PV Solar Field Technician II - DG Sites: Sturbridge, MA/ Worchester, MA This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This position will be based out of Central MA and the incoming employee will need to live in or relocate to the Worchester/ Sturbridge area. The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic trouble shooting for a solar arrays and inverters. Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing inverters from producing grid power. A candidate would be responsible for supporting teammates in nearby states in the region, and maintainting reliability, operations and maintenance for sites in the Worchester/ Sturbridge area in Massachusetts. This position will include travel to other nearbysites and other misc duties as assigned Job Overview The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties in the following but are not limited to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.
