Sheet Metal Assembler- Metal Shop

Lex Products Job Title: Sheet Metal Assembler/Metal Shop Worker - 1st Shift 7 am - 3:30 pm Departments: Sheet Metal Department, Shelton, CT Summary: Sheet Metal Assemblers are responsible for light mechanical and electrical assembly of Lex’s products. Among the Sheet Metal Assembler’s responsibilities are (1) reading drawing and electrical wiring diagrams, (2) cutting cable to meet product and customer requirements, (3) joining the components into a whole product using point to point wiring instructions, and (4) assembling and/or soldering electrical components as per the drawings. Sheet Metal Assemblers are required to stand, bend and reach to perform they job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Read blueprints, job order traveler, job order pick list and interpret shop drawings. • Build to assembly standards in terms of quantity and quality. • Use hand tools (i.e., soldering instruments, drills, saws, wrenches, etc.). • Follow written and oral instructions. • Perform hand and wrist assembly involving repetitive motion. • Repair and rework assemblies as required. • Work at different workstations as production needs require or shift from one station to another during the assembly process. • Follow and adhere to all company and departmental procedures and policies. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment (may require sweeping, mopping, trash removal) • Communicate with managers, peers, and subordinates on a routine basis. • Timely and accurately complete documentation and electronically record work in Floor Manager. • Promptly report to supervisor all observations that are relevant to ensure a safe and efficient operation in the department. • Use good judgment in performing tasks correctly the first time through. • Provide input to help improve the performance of the department • Maintain a good attendance record in order to complete work assignments. • Perform tasks while complying with company safety policies. • Work overtime as needed. • Perform other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but do not constitute the complete list of everything that may help one be successful in this role. • High School Diploma • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other manufacturing information. • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time. • Ability to work in metric and English units of measure. • Skilled in assembling products that meet quality standards. • Prior experience assembling electrical or similar products preferred. • Competence in safely and effectively using hand tools. • Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills with the ability to team with others. • Basic math skills in order to complete job tasks. • Practical problem-solving ability. • Strong organization skills and attention to detail. • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment and work assignments. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted throughout the day. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Facility Maintenance Technician

ANCO is in the midst of unprecedented growth and we have an immediate opening for a hands-on, energetic, and motivated Facility/Maintenance Manager to manage and direct the activities of our maintenance department for our 140,000 sq. ft. facility and all related production equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency and allowing for maximum productivity. • Hands-on supervision for all activities of our maintenance personnel • Oversee all contractor personnel performing repairs and maintenance on equipment and or facilities • Develop, implement, coordinate and prioritize the preventative maintenance scheduling of all production machines & facility equipment and ensure on-time completion for all PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedules • Direct the activities of the maintenance department to assure proper maintenance and or repair of all production and facility related equipment ensuring minimum downtime and maximum productivity • Create and maintain files of maintenance history for all related production and facilities equipment • Must be able to simultaneously prioritize, manage and execute multiple repair and maintenance activities to ensure prompt, efficient completion of each activity • Must be able to troubleshoot production and facility equipment in a methodical and fast-paced manner to ensure minimal equipment downtime • Collaborate with General Forman to ensure prioritization of machine repairs are in accordance with production priorities • Collaborate with General Forman to ensure scheduling of preventative maintenance can be achieved with minimal negative impact to production requirements • Facilitate technical training for maintenance department personnel on technical competency skills, including but not limited to troubleshooting techniques, PLC Logic, complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs and preventative maintenance • Troubleshoot, repair and maintenance of various material handling equipment (jib cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet-jacks, etc.) • Oversee and manage various facility maintenance activities including but not limited to: building roof issues (leaks), gutter maintenance, HVAC system maintenance, etc. • Oversee and manage all janitorial and grounds maintenance activities (snow plowing, sidewalk ice removal, etc.) • Oversee and manage ANCO’s delivery trucking fleet maintenance activities (diesel & gas vehicles) • Recommend and facilitate the hiring and releasing of maintenance personnel. • A.S. in related field from a two-year College or Technical School. (B.S. Preferred) • Minimum 5-years of prior experience in facility/equipment maintenance managing internal personnel and external contractors in a fast-pace, production metal manufacturing facility • Experience with maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing equipment downtime in a metal fabrication company, including but not limited to: CNC Sheet Metal and Forming machinery; CNC Milling and Turning Center machinery; Welding equipment; Grinding & Finishing tooling & equipment; Liquid Spray Painting & Powder Coating tooling and equipment; Laminating Equipment • Experienced with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to, mechanical & electrical issues, machine controls (Fanuc experience preferred), PLC (Programmable Logic Control) diagnostics & repair, plumbing, etc. • Ability to read equipment prints; secure information from OEM manuals; apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication & division and read, understand and apply common operational documents as required • Experienced with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of various material handling equipment (jib cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet-jacks, etc.) • Experienced with various facility maintenance activities including but not limited to: building roof issues (leaks), gutter maintenance, HVAC system maintenance, etc. • Must be flexible, have a strong sense of urgency, and strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish, English/Polish) Position Applying For
