The Aircraft Structures/Sheet Metal Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft components and airframe structural supports. Essential Functions: • Read, interpret, plan & work from Structural Repair Manuals, engineering drawings, and Service Bulletins. • Complete skin repairs requiring doublers or triplers containing complex contours. • Complete complex repairs and replacements that require substantial disassembly, such as wing spar, keel beam, or other support structures. • Remove/install aircraft components as required. • Perform minor structural repairs on composite components. • Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures. • Assist with complex structural repairs either on or off aircraft. • Assist with aircraft component repair. Requirements: • 2+ years of experience working aircraft structures. • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings. • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status. • A&P Certified is preferred, but not required. Qualifications • Local candidates strongly preferred. • 2 years of experience as aircraft assemblet, sheet metal mechanic in aerospace enviroment. • Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) and flexible to work other shifts if required. • Must be able to work overtime and weekends per business needs. • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and specifications. • Experience with assembly operations, functional testing, and quality inspections. • Comfortable with manual labor, standing for long periods, and handling tools/machinery. • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality control.
