We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market. We are looking to hire several Sheet Metal Ductwork Fabricators to join our self-perform team for ongoing work in Jacksonville, NC. All work is to be performed at our prefabrication warehouse and is paid the recommended Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to our Jacksonville, NC location. Our Sheet Metal Ductwork Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling of ductwork systems used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. The Sheet Metal Ductwork Fabricator will perform tasks that involve physical labor and assembly at a prefabrication warehouse. This position will require skilled use of hand and power tools, as well as machinery to cut shape, and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Aircraft Sheet Metal / Structures Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal/Structures Technician specializing in depot-level modifications and new systems integrations for the UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft located at MCAS New River (Jacksonville, NC). This role is essential to supporting the upgrade modifications, repairs and inspection of aircraft airframes to ensure optimal aircraft readiness and operational capability. Shift: 1st shift. Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Key Responsibilities: • Perform depot-level modifications and new structural integrations and existing structures modifications on the airframe. • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to address and resolve complex structural issues to include documenting inconsistencies and non-conformance, redline documentations and suggested install corrective actions. • Document all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. • Maintain compliance with quality assurance and safety standards, including adherence to Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790 and local SOP and GOPS compliance guidelines. • Support aircraft inspections and acceptance procedures and modifications as required. • Ensure all tools, test equipment, and consumables are calibrated and maintained per established policies. Skill Requirements: • Proficient in reading, Interpreting and utilize technical manuals (TD / IDP), blueprints, diagrams and engineering drawings. • Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas. • Locate blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure. • Split-Sleeve Cold Working. • Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming and preserving structure. • Strong knowledge of aircraft and structural principles and techniques specific to aircraft airframes modifications and upgrades. • Strong organization and problem-solving skills. • Advanced knowledge of aircraft sheet metal / structural modification and repair. • Knowledge of aircraft unique tooling such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal breaks, sheers, etc., and ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Competence in using precision measuring tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers for accurate measurement assessments. • Install structural aircraft upgrades and modifications as needed. • Self-starter and ability to work independently in a team environment. Required Qualifications and/or Experience: • Minimum 5 years of aviation structure maintenance experience. • Proficiency in depot-level maintenance procedures and processes. • Knowledge of FAA, military, and industry standards. • Familiarity with aircraft structures and airframes. • Must own and provide basic hand tools required. • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration. Preferred Qualifications and/or Experience: • Experience on the UH-1Y and/or AH-1Z platform aircraft. • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent military certification. • Prior service in a military or government aviation maintenance environment. • Aircraft Avionics / Electrician Certifications. • Past Quality Assurance or QAR Experience. • Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
