Job Title: Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description We are seeking Aircraft Assembly Structures Mechanics to support various production areas across different airplane programs. This role involves working in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment, utilizing training and certification knowledge to complete assigned tasks. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, reading work instructions, and identifying necessary tools, parts, and equipment to ensure defect-free work. Responsibilities • Perform close tolerance drilling and installations in critical aircraft structural areas. • Utilize various fastener removal tools and techniques. • Work with CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic), aluminum, and titanium structural materials, including drilling, sanding, and trimming. • Read and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications. • Use software applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Windows, and SAP. • Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment as determined by the task. • Use various structural assembly hand tools and air tools. • Inspect work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD). • Perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, and working in confined spaces. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Relevant Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) such as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics (MOS 15G, 15H, 15N, 15R, 15T), Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM), Aircraft Structural Maintenance (AFSC 2A7X3), and Aviation Maintenance Technician (MOS 6000 series). • Must have Tools + Tool Box. • Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.
