Plumbing Apprentice / $50-$70k Year 1 / Paid Training

Hi, my name is Mitch & I'm the owner of Colepepper Plumbing We provide plumbing services to the homeowners of San Diego County Including : toilets, faucets, drain cleaning, drain replacements, gas lines, water filtration systems, emergency plumbing leaks, water heaters, etc... Enter you... I am looking for 1-2 plumbing apprentices that myself and my team can mold into a plumbing superstar. So let's define superstar... 1st...Technical training... You will learn this hands on in the field and myself or one of our other plumbers who went through the same or similar process of you will be teaching you. Here is the great thing about learning how to plumb at Colepepper... We actually let you do the work! Most plumbing apprenticeships drag on for years and you end up being a glorified janitor for the plumber whom you are riding with...cleaning up his messes and shagging him parts. Here, we want to get you up to speed as quickly as possible. So you will be doing as much of the hands on plumbing as possible. After you become proficient at the technical part of plumbing, we will bump up your pay over time as you become quicker, ask less questions, and do great quality work. You can make a great living as an installer, upward of $85,000+. However if you want to make more money, then you will have an opportunity to become a plumbing salesman. This is where you will learn how to sell job and can make anywhere from $100k-$250k. I wont get too far into this because we need to do one thing at a time...but the point is, you'll have the chance to earn more money as time goes on, whether you choose to stay a plumber or whether you decide to become a salesman. Heres some other perks of working here: Take van home Paid training 1 week of paid training after a year of working here 5 sick days 5 paid holidays 50% paid benefits So if this is interesting to you, now we need to really nail down...who is the type of person that would really be a good fit here.... From my experience they typically possess the following traits: 1. Confident - You need to be a naturally confident person who can work with customers. You need to be confident enough to be the leader and the authority in their home. You dictate how the call goes not them. You are the authority..you call the shots..you ask the questions...you are in charge, not the homeowner. If you have this type of mindset, then you should naturally be a CLOSER. Somebody who can close the deal 2. Attractive Personality - Are you a likeable person? Do people generally like you? Do they like talking to you? Do you have a lot of friends? Do you like talking to other people and learning about them? Are you nice? But not so nice that you are a pushover. Do you have a magnetic personality? People are drawn to you? Are you naturally charasmatic? This is important in the sales part. You cant just be a hard nosed closer and push people around. 3. Hard Worker - How disciplined are you in working? This is a very physically demanding job. Your gonna get soar from this. your gonna get sweaty and your gonna get dirty. I like the old saying "Dirty hands...Clean Money". Its not a 9-5. Expect to work past 5 pm some days. With that being said...it's not our goal to burn you out. But we can't exactly clock out and leave the customers home at 5pm and leave them without water. 4. Coachable - If you have an ego, I can't work with you. When things are tough and you've made some mistakes, and I am holding you accountable and coaching you through them, how will you respond? Will you make excuses? Will you fold? Or will you dig your heels in, take the coaching and strive to get better? 5. Cleanliness - If you are a slob, please don't reach out. You will be expected to be clean shaven, smelling good with good hygeine and fresh smelling breath. You will also be expected to keep a clean and organized van regularly. So if you are a messy person, this may not work out 6. Punctual - On time is late and early is on time. I am looking for people who want to work and make a lot of money. If you want to take a lot of time off or if you have a lot of personal things going on that will keep you out of work, or if you always need to be home on time, it's best you look elsewhere. With that being said, we do not want to overwork you or burn you out. But....when we need you we need you. There are often busy times when everyone is buying and money is flowing in left and right...and slower times. If you need to schedule some personal time for something or to be home a little earlier, try to do it during the slower times. We will work with you. You do not need any plumbing experience, in fact we prefer that you dont. That way we can teach you our way...the right way to do it all. However, you must have a clean background and clean drivers license. No felonys No misdemeanors No DUIS About the pay... We start at $20/hr - however here is a huge bonus...we pay for drive time. So the clock starts when you leave your house for the day and the clock ends when you get back home from the day. We also pay you for lunches and breaks. Because of this you and up getting a lot of OT (anything over 8 hours in a day is OT) Also expect to invest about $1,500 of your own for hand tools within a few months time. Please reply with your resume Thanks! - Mitch Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Paid time off • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Schedule: • Holidays • Monday to Friday • Night shift • Overtime • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
