DUTIES: • Install, alter, repair, and maintain pipe systems above, below, and within structures (walls, floors, ceilings, etc.). • Work with plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, water heaters, faucets, and kitchen/laundry equipment. • Maintain and repair components like traps, vents, drains, siphons, pumps, valves, and shock arrestors. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify and correct deficiencies. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications; sketch plumbing layouts. • Estimate time, materials, and cost for work orders; requisition necessary supplies. • Install and maintain fire protection sprinkler systems, sewage systems, and water treatment facilities. • Repair and adjust mechanical equipment including water/steam pumps, compressors, and fuel storage systems. • Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations. • Train and guide helpers and apprentices in plumbing techniques and safety procedures. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Training and experience in the plumbing trade. Other: Must be willing to be on call 4-5 times throughout the year.
