KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Knowledge of a broad range of construction and remodeling plumbing practices, techniques, tools, equipment, and safety procedures. • Knowledge of repairs and replacements of municipal water systems, low- and high-pressure steam, natural gas systems, and skills in installation and repair of plumbing systems. • Ability to understand and interpret written and verbal instructions and ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner. • Ability to organize assigned tasks for completion. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of 2 years of experience including plumbing and construction required. • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required. • City of Omaha Plumbing or Steamfitter License required. • On-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support and many work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Vocational training or plumbing apprenticeship preferred. • Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position.
