About the position Service Experts is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Plumber Helper in Grand Island, Nebraska. In this role, you will provide essential assistance and support to our HVAC and Plumbing team in various plumbing tasks and projects. The primary focus of this position is to assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. As a Plumber Helper, you will be involved in a variety of tasks that are crucial to the successful operation of plumbing services, ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality of service. Your responsibilities will include carrying tools, equipment, and supplies to and from work areas, preparing job sites by setting up necessary tools and materials, and digging trenches or excavating ditches as required for plumbing installations or repairs. You will also measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques, assist in the assembly and installation of plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters, and connect pipes using fittings, soldering, welding, or other approved methods. Additionally, you will inspect plumbing systems to identify any defects or issues, assist in troubleshooting plumbing problems, and ensure that job sites are cleaned up and waste materials are disposed of properly. A background in Fire Protection sales is ideal. • Experience working with end-user customers on projects • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably salesforce.com • A strong preference for value-based selling skills and technical sales experience is helpful • Strong preference for leading direct reports and/or 3rd party sales agents or channel partners • Ability to travel 60% on average in the region and work 100% remotely from a home office in within territory.
