ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations. Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe. Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors. Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Cuts and threads pipe. Bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand. Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, copper, and lead; and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic. Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints. Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains. Welds holding fixtures to steel structural members. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Lead Plumber or MEP Specialist SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 1 to 4 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable procedures. Apprentice Plumber

SSP Industries, LP apprentice plumber is an entry-level professional plumber who will be a part of a crew, assisting the licensed journeyman plumber. You will need to have your own set of tools. Experience in Commercial Plumbing is preferred. DUTIES/JOB RESPOSIBILITIES: •Locating and marking positions for plumbing works such as pipe connection, fixtures in walls and floors, and passage holes. •Testing and identifying pipe leaks with air and water pressure gauges. •Assembling, measuring, bending, threading, and cutting pipes using hands, power tools and when needed, machines. •Soldering copper pipe •Reading blueprints and drawings to determine the layout of the water supply network, waste and drainage system, and plumbing systems. •Transporting tools, equipment, and material to the job location as needed •Communicating effectively with other trade professionals on the job. •To clean up the job site after the work has been completed. •Other duties as required.
