Due to our expansive growth, Elge Plumbing is looking for Commercial Service Plumbers to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install commercial plumbing systems. Whether customers need us to install full piping and new fixtures or simply need a drain unclogged, we have them covered. We’re looking for plumbers who have strong communication and technical skills. Pay Range: $35-$45 based on experience Additional Compensation and Benefits: • Affordable Medical, Dental, and Vision plans • 401K with company match • Short- and Long-Term Disability plans • Accident & Critical Illness Insurance available • 50K Life Insurance Policy free • Additional life insurance available • Parental Leave (including Paternity) • 6 Paid Holidays each year • Paid Time Off • Equipment, uniforms, and fully stocked vehicle Responsibilities: • Build and establish customer rapport to ensure we are providing great service • Be professional and knowledgeable: keep current on manufacturers products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair • Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work, as necessary • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job • Provides technical support to customers • Troubleshoot, diagnose identify, and repair commercial with appropriate tools and materials for repair • Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units • Train and mentor apprentices as needed • Participate actively in trainings and meetings • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure the satisfaction of our customer base and to win referrals • Commit to high standards of ethics, honesty and integrity • Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations. • Testing pipes by filling them with water or air and reads gauges to determine whether system is working accurately. • Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing. • Writes a report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken. • Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials. • Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation. • Prepares bids, schedules, and oversees other workers, such as apprentices and helpers. • Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building. • Assembles fittings and valves for installation. • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes. • Assisting with the installation of pipe and fittings for copper, cast iron, and PVC/CPVC pipes, and for drain, sewer, and gas lines. • Installing fittings and components above and in ground. • Unloading and carrying materials to the jobsite.
