See More Details >>About the position The primary purpose of this position is to provide journey level work in the plumbing trade and at near journey level work in either HVAC or electrical work as necessary in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the serviced residents and staff. This is accomplished through the water management systems, repair, maintenance, up-grade, and new construction of the plumbing, mechanical systems, and equipment at the Center, while maintaining a customer friendly demeanor. Requirements • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma. • Two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Working knowledge of methods, practices, tools, and materials used in general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and machinery including plumbing, electrical, and hydronic systems. • Knowledge of low-pressure heating plant operations. • Ability to diagnose electrical components on water heaters with voltage up to 480 volts and other electrical components. • Ability to understand and work from sketches or penciled drawings. • Ability to operate common types of machine shop equipment. • Ability to supervise the work of semiskilled, unskilled, or skilled workers. • Must have a current valid Driver's License.
