Job description Position: Plumbing Technician Location: Holland, MI Pay: $28-$35 per hour based on experience; plus overtime pay Plumber Benefits • Comprehensive benefit packages – Medical, Dental, Vision and Life • Generous PTO • 7 Paid Holidays • 401(k) with up to a 6% company match • Weekly Paychecks • Potential Bonus Opportunity • Paid formal training, with no out of pocket expenses, such as backflow testing and career advancement Plumber Responsibilities • Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems • Troubleshoot issues upon arrival on-site and communicate with necessary parties when applicable • Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure • Install and maintain water supply systems • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks) • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc. • Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks), etc. • Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators, etc.) • Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems • Partner and work side-by-side with other team members depending on scope of work including other plumbers as well as employees in different divisions • Provide high-quality and professional customer service • Maintain company vehicle, equipment and tools Plumber Qualifications • Journeyman or Master Plumbers License, preferred • Minimum 2 years’ experience ideally in a commercial/ industrial setting • Comfortable working with various technology and software (i.e. tablets & smart devices) • Ability to work independently and to work in a wide variety of work environments. • Self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. • Excellent communication skills and the proficiency to collaborate with a diverse team and customer basis. • Ability to undergo and pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and MVR/Background check. We are a 24/7 Emergency Service operation which will require this position to occasionally work after-hours and weekend shifts as well as being able to assist with emergency response calls as needed, this requirement is a part of an on-call rotation amongst the team.
