Journeyman Plumber - Grand Rapids, MI • $30.00 - $38.00 Per Hour • Yearly Bonus • Company Growth and Stability Job Description Perform new construction installations of plumbing equipment for commercial sites throughout West Michigan. The candidate will work with copper and PEX plumbing materials to complete installations, utilizing hand tools and power tools to hang, solder, and thread pipe to completion. The candidate should be able to read tape measures, cut, and level piping installations. Responsibilities • Fit and solder copper (domestic water) piping. • Thread pipes accurately. • Understand and apply general plumbing practices (how hangers are made, hanging pipe, and plumbing code). • Utilize personal hand tools, including tape measure, channel locks, drill, and level. • Comfortable working at heights, typically around 20ft, but up to 100ft. • Lead and supervise plumbing projects as needed. Essential Skills • Familiarity with blueprint reading and general labor tasks. • Experience with welding, PVC installation, and general construction. • Proficiency in fitting and soldering copper pipes. • Ability to thread pipes. • Knowledge of general plumbing practices and plumbing code. • Ownership of essential hand tools. • Comfort working at significant heights.
